so that you understand how to navigate your way through it!

{When I first started I was only going to feature weddings that I've decorated and let this blog serve as a vehicle for my Bride2B to see what I have and my flavor. Now I see a need to add some of my fave vendors/venues in our area, some hints 'n tips to making your planning easier, some of my fave food ideas, etc., etc.,...quite honestly - anything I come across that I think will make it easier and CUTER for my brides, I hope to post it.

And, of course, I'll post all the weddings I design, too! }

I love to watch the bride & groom at their own receptions! They're so happy! Stealing little glances all night long, nearly inseparable, tiny kisses here and there - and sometimes BIG KISSES! Quite honestly, by the time the party finally gets here, all the fussing and stresss goes out the window and all they can see is each other...isn't that how it's supposed to be?

My advice: there's lots to fuss and worry about...things get in the way and thrown at you all the time, little things turn into big things... remember to focus on each other...this is the happily ever after I'm dreaming of!

Where do I go to get a marriage license in the Phoenix-metro area...

and how much does it cost?

Fee

The fee for a marraige license is $72 payable by cash or check w/a driver's license or bank guarantee card or credit card. If you're purchasing a license at the Justice Courts, they accept checks, money orders or cashier checks.

Instructions

A copy of a divorce decree is not required. No blood test is required. You'll be required to provide a government issued photo ID such as a driver's license to show proof of age and confirm identity. You'll receive your marriage license and can be married on the same day you apply for it. An unused marriage license expires one year from the date of purchase. Both parties must be present to obtain a marriage license.

OMGosh!... that's alot to think about!

Here's a little checklist to help you figure out who pays for what on to make your big day awesome:

Pre-Wedding Parties

Traditional:

The bride's family covers the first engagement party;

(the groom's side can throw one of its own)

His side pays for the rehearsal dinner.

Modern:

Each family may throw an engagement party;

(the bride's family can host the first one, if it likes)

anyone can host the rehearsal dinner-even an aunt.

Stationery

Traditional:

The bride's family pays for every invitation, program and placecard - including the stamps.

Modern:

The couple can pick up the tab, maybe choosing to DIY the Save-the-Dates or invites to save money.

Ceremony

Traditional:

The bride's parents take care of the music, venue fee, and aisle runner. The groom covers the marriage license and officiant's fee.

Modern:

If the wedding is being performed at one family's house of worship, that family covers the ceremony costs. Otherwise, anyone can pay.

Flowers

Traditional:

The bride's family pays for the big-ticket items like centerpieces. The groom's side buys the bride's bouquet, boutonnieres and corsages.

Modern:

All the flowers are paid for together, by the bride's or groom's side - or even by the couple themselves.

Photographer/Videographer:

Traditional:

The bride's family pays to document the occassion.

Modern:

One family pays for the photographer and the other for the videographer. Or the couple hire the photographer and the families each buy their own prints and albums.

Reception

Traditional:

The bride's family picks up the entire tab, including food, drink, decor and music.

Modern:

The groom's famil covers specifics like liquor or music; the bride's family pays for the rest. Better: Everyone pitches in according to what they want.

ahhh, I have so much to talk about w/this reception!

It's amazing to me how almost everytime I'm a part of someone's dream day, I leave inspired, hopeful and a witness to the miracle of love...

Molly & Jared were married December 29th.

They wanted their reception in Molly's home...

which you can see is darling.

Everything about this reception had tiny pieces of her and her family -- precious, underlying thoughts of Molly & Jared's story. I love it when the couple use important things that have meant alot to them in the decor.

This sleigh is an antique that has been rebuilt and is perched every Christmas in the front yard. It used to be an actual useful sleigh -- makes you wonder what stories it could tell, if it could talk. How many couples in love sat on it's seat making their way through the snow... kinda cheesey -- but, why not?

Guests entered in the front door, where we emptied the rooms of the furniture.

The formal dining area served as the guest sign-in area. The dolls pictured are from their own collection, but also from her grandma who passed away -- Molly couldn't imagine having her perfect day without them!

We decorated with our mainstay pictures of the B&G...

but look closely.

What's the rose sitting there?

Molly is a big lover of Disney...

and Jared loves the lovestory aspect of it... he welded & painted this rose (replica of the rose from Beauty & the Beast) and vowed to give it to the woman of his dreams. Molly came along -- couldn't have found a better "belle" for his rose.

When Jared proposed, he gave Molly this dollar bill ring.

Notice the "1" on the top where the diamond should be...

for the "one" of his dreams.

Molly loves purple!

Her colors were lavendar w/a pop of pinkish peach...

Guests were greeted by the B&G and their receiving line in front of a gorgeous fireplace in the family room. Then were escorted outside to a beautiful AZ evening...just under 70*!

It was perfect!

The food was delicious & perfect for an AZ winter wedding.

We staged a hot chocolate bar...

... and a chocolate fountain!

We used a dark purple, ruffly linen for the food table.

It was a nice contrast to the paler shades of purple we used on the guest tables.

Of course, the table was fully-stocked!

The food was delicious!

Lighter foods including garlic 'n herb &

gorgonzola & toasted walnut spreads for a nice variety of artisan breads.

Fresh fruit; crackers and yummy cheeses...

Aren't these veggie cups so cute!?

We made the cups out of baguette slices,

cored them out halfway down, filled them w/homemade ranch...

you could eat it all!

love, love, love 'em!

...and two flavors of mini cheeseballs.

wanted something 'simple'.

The color choice was so darn cute!

{The entire theme was so darn cute!}

They're just a couple of young, country kids w/some sass!

I love them!

Here's 'the kiss'...

I don't very often get to see the expression of the groom when the bride walks down the aisle, and was so excited to get some really great pictures of Wyatt {who was so cute when he caught a glimpse of her!}, but alas, I am no photographer -- so that pic didn't turn out! And as you can tell... this one is blurry... might not know how to use a flash on my fancy camera...lol!

Old, weathered side table for gifts...

when it was full of presents for the B&G it was gorgeous!

Instead of a traditional guest book, or trying something new w/some of the other ideas we've all seen around, Cheyenne wanted only 'advice' and 'well-wishes' from her guests -- so she could scrapbook them with some of her wedding photos and have it accessible for viewing all the time!

Cheyenne wanted a gun-metal blue color...

with burnt orange, golden yellow and brown.

We mixed textures w/lace, cheetah skirting,

antique candlesticks, old books, brooches,

birdcages, and old clocks.

So fun to look at!

So, it just so happens that the cutest groom

{Wyatt!}

just might have grown up on the family dairy...

that just so happens to supply milk

{woot! sunrise dairy!}

to the grocer's in the White Mountain area.

There was no other choice than to do a cookies 'n milk bar for the guests!

Eight kinds of cookies were served... some were guarded family recipes... all were delicious!

Add fresh milk -- and Sunrise specialty: Chocolate Milk,

and you've got a cookie's match made in heaven!

The textured and taffeta HUGE ribbon flowers

added some fun to the muslin petticoat linen!

Milk served in super cute stripey straws...

does fun come in any other kind of straw?!

I don't think so!

Cake station.

How can you make the cutest cake ever

look even cuter?

Add some old doors!

We had the baker make the cake and deliver it bare...

we added the fun rosettes, brooches, bling and pearls.

A giant peony perched on the top as the cake topper.

Her cake knife was specially made.

So funny to have all this elegant, pretty bling all around,

and then have a knife made out of deer antlers as the

cake cutters!

We took this couch all around outside

in 2' snow for some of the prettiest bridal photos ever...

Meet this happy, zany couple!

They're wedding was on a nippy evening the beginning of December...

her colors were teal & lime green.

(I added some black for some flair!)

Not your typical winter wedding colors...

but right up Aly's alley!

This fun couple are as fun as their colors...

I loved decorating for them!

They made life-size cut-outs of them for

their makeshift photo station...

each guest was able to take their pix with the cute couple...

this wedding reception was all about fun!

A family friend helped make these amazing runners

for their guests to walk in on from the parking area...

we made a stencil to engrave their initials...

The lights were perfect for a clear night in the farm country of Gilbert, AZ.

The center/drink table was black with a white 'n black polka dot skirt.

It played on the detail of the food table :)

I couldn't help but use the l.o.v.e. sign --

I don't get tired of it, and the guests love it!

This family was so great to work with!

I truly made new friends...

They spent so much time getting the backyard space ready for the wedding.

It was gorgeous!

Aly's colors were a ton of fun...

the first table was a striped green & white.

The candelabra added a romantic touch to the whimsical decor.

The second table was the taffeta teal color.

The centerpiece was a sparkley green candle

under a hurricane on an antique silver tray.

The green 'n white polka dot pot w/cute flowers

added more detail.

The last table was a damask green runner on a white linen.

We used a wide black & white striped ribbon to edge the table.

A green cutout doille with a cream rose arrangement finished it off.

Aly's cake was so darn cute!

It matched the rest of decor perfectly!

She chose a 'dessert bar' for her guests' food.

Cake pops, pumpkin bars, chocolate dipped pretzel rods, peanut butter bites, rice krispy treats, fresh fruit w/fudge for dipping, cupcakes and homemade sugar cookies -- so yummy!

This was a fun party!

I loved the fun, whimsy!

Guests had a great time, not even noticing the nippy weather.

This couple made me excited for them -- they seem to enjoy life to the fullest!

I fell in love with them!

Andrew & Lindsay... November, 2011 part 1

We all go gaga over an AZ outdoor wedding,
and this one wasn't ANY different!

The weather for

Andrew & Lindsay
was absolutely perfect,

cool & crisp enough for a heater to take the chill off an

AZ winter evening, not a breeze --

and as beautiful as the bride & groom themselves!

This backyard of friend is extraordinarily, well-manicured by the homeowner,

making my job so easy to place beautiful things to enhance it...
we used every inch!

Guests entered on the west side of the home, and were greeted by an antique sign-in desk, and an area for 'advice' for the happy couple. Straight ahead lies more 'stations' for guests to mingle, stay-awhile, or pass through. I love to decorate with the guests in mind, just as much as keeping in mind what the bride wants. I want the guests to find several places to land and feel like they're having an 'experience' rather than just popping into a come 'n go reception.

The pool is every bit as amazing as the rest of the space... and on the other side of that, is this gorgeous grassy area perfect for guests to sit awhile. I love the use of chinese lanterns here! The bride chose a blush pink, cream/white antique with a tiny touch of some burgundy.

This wasn't difficult to conceptualize at all.

I've been collecting quite a little bit of furniture to use for staging lounge areas in my decor... I never get tired of this darling sofa loveseat.

Andrew & Lindsay... November, 2011 part 2

The pictures of this stunning B&G were used freely throughout the party...

This antique easel board is a one of the sweet, vintage details that showcased them.

No detail was overlooked.

Antique brooches adorn even the gift sign...

I like to call these dress forms my 'girlfriends'...

this one sits next to the gift area, making even the area to drop your gift special --

and a part of the fun.

I didn't get a very good picture of the antique desk and cupboard that all of these 'pretties' welcomed guests in on... just a smidge of the area -- the feathers in this arrangement are gorgeous!

Lots n' lots of the pictures of the engagement, as well as early bridal portraits were used here! The guests could feel the love...
of this sweet couple!

We set up an 'advice' area for guests to fill out a card with their personal marriage advice for the newlyweds... the glittered clothespins added some sparkle...
it was a huge hit, almost everyone filled out a card!

Lindsay's tables were so fun...
antique clocks, votives, pearls on a vintage silver tray.

The hurricane surrounding the candle added more candlelight to the already dramatic lighting overhead. The linen was a pale, blush pink taffeta with raised pink ribbon flowers... so pretty!

The second table was a slightly darker pink hue.

A couple of vintage books served as the base of the centerpiece.

An antique birdcage sat ontop of that, surrounded by votives, a framed old bingo card and a simple, cute porcelain teapot w/baby breath & a big, beautiful pink peony inside.

The last look was a slightly larger sized table, draped with a lace linen. I ran a burlap runner over the top, which has a gorgeous taffeta ruffle on either side. The centerpiece was this vintage-looking candelabra. Another amazing source of light and ambiance.

It was blush pink...sitting on a level higher than the rest of the party --

subtly getting the attention it deserved.

We served sheet cake until the B&G cut their cake.

Everyone raved about the delicious cake!

Getting to serve hot chocolate is a real treat in AZ!

We couldn't let the opportunity pass...

The middle table was draped in an antique-looking pink ticking, darling!

Caesar salad and artisan breads made the guests mouth water --

perfect for an AZ winter wedding!

The middle table had layers of the most delicious, hearty breads!

I'll admit, I had a few slices... ;)

We used old suitcases, and antique silver platters on all different levels...

it was gorgeous fully stocked!

Never get tired of using them!

{and love to decorate the tags describing the yummy soup inside!}

An old iron fencing was the backdrop for decor on the food tables.

Tierra & Bryson....11/2011

I've been dying to blog this divine reception!

Tierra & Bryson asked me to decorate for their important day...

I was honored!

They are one of my favorite b&g's --

and the wedding was not only one-of-a-kind...

it was an absolute blast!

Tierra wanted very traditional, understated, elegant, no fluff, please... ;)

Oh, gosh... a little bit "not me", for sure!

But, exactly her...and that's exactly what she got!

This is her entry....

Her reception was outdoors on a beautiful, fall evening. AZ in the fall is an amazing time to have an outdoor reception! This backyard was a family-friends...and although, Tierra & Bryson's wedding was only the second one they've held since moving in, they would love to host more...and their rental fee is beyond VERY reasonable... I loved the space, it was beautiful all lit up!

You entered through a gorgeous side gate on a tree-lined street...

we lit the area, and candles led guests to guest book... magical!

The night started with a ring ceremony, after the temple ceremony, for those family members who weren't able to be in there. Immediately following, dinner was served.

This is the Bride & Groom table...

the only black & white stripe linen/table in the decor...

it stood out, giving them the full spotlight!

The colors were black, white (damask) and olive green.
The colors looked awesome together.

The lighting overhead was lovely, and the chinese lanterns sparsely hung on the strands added just enough drama.

Of course, we didn't leave out the chandeliers! We needed all the lighting we could get, and quite honestly, a reception without a chandelier is under dressed!

The lit "L.O.V.E." sign in the background was a
huge hit both in drama, and for photo ops!

Tierra was very specific in what she wanted on her tables.

She wanted a straight black cloth w/a beautiful arrangement, including some of the flowers the green color in them... very classic -- very pretty! To bring in a little more color the black vase sat on a green round doillie.

She also wanted hurricanes on the other tables...
which added more lighting.

I did 5 of the black and 5 of the damask. I usually do a third look, but she wasn't having any of that...I think she did a fantastic job at giving me her vision...and turned out beautifully!

An overview of the reception...

We put the food table in the middle of the guest tables...

tables surrounding this area were in black & white.

Chinese lanterns dangled above the middle of the food tables.

Underneath them was the freshest fruit of the season!

yummy... :)

Our menu was perfect for the fall!

Fresh, homemade bread bowls started guests off...

then there was the B&G's favorite soups:

Zuppa Tuscano (Olive Garden's famous recipe) & Creamy Potato

A most delicous Caesar Salad was next, with the fresh last...

Everything was just perfect for the elegant, cool evening!

I love to decorate with pictures of the B&G...

the groom's stepmother is the locally famous, Allison Jones... her photos were gorgeous!

We decided to do a family cookie bar!

I loved this idea and have been dying to have one of my brides do it!

All the cookies were made with love from family...

including Tierra's favorite: Aunt Dixie's Chocolate Chip

and Bryson's fave: Uncle Porter's secret Oatmeal recipe!

The table linen was the olive green...

all the food areas except the wedding cake had the green taffeta.

This cute little guy loved this area of the wedding sooo much!

I caught him w/a jar on the ground cleaning out the crumbs!

We had six different kinds in these gorgeous glass crocks...

...and cello bags to take a few for the road

--embellished with the couples initials, of course!

The tags were a ton of fun to let some creativity loose :)

The wedding was a real family affair!

The temple ceremony in the early afternoon, followed by the ring ceremony.

Dinner w/family and close friends before the reception...

A traditional LDS receiving line for an hour to greet guests.

A program featuring a tribute dance from Tierra's favorite sisters/friends, as well as

Tierra & Bryson singing to each other and w/each other

{for sure, a special treat for all of us! they are both amazing singers!}

Dancing, dancing and more dancing!

And...then the most appropriate send off!

Sparklers!

Thank you, Tierra and Bryson for letting me be a part of your amazing day...

Elizabeth and Justin

are archealogist/geologists studying at Uof A.

Their dream wedding is in the outdoors

surrounded by God's beauty.

They chose the Lost Dutchman State Park

in AZ as their site & backdrop...

A.Mazing...

The set up was simpler than some of my other parties...

meaning there wasn't a lot of fluff...

but there was a ton of DRAMA...

We decorated with lots & lots of lights...

we draped fabric along the posts of the ramada to mock a tent...

There were plenty of obstacles.

One was the power source. We only had ONE outlet.

We brought in generators...

And, the guests 'camped' at the site all weekend...

we didn't want to intrude on that, but still needed to decorate.

I think it turned out really, really nice.

The food was a "Cafe Rio" salad/Taco bar...w/all the fixings!

The meat was sooo yummy: grilled carne asada/chicken...

fresh, homemade tortillas, pico/salsa and guacamole.

Doesn't the Superstition Mountains look amazing?

I wish I had taken a picture at the "ceremony" site -- Cholla Day Use area.

We used a simple wooden arch draped with sheer organza and purple flowers at the points...

The "reception" area was held at the Group Camp area.

Guests camped at the group area, the showering/bathroom facilities are wonderful. It was ironic, and really fun to see Liz & Justin's friends all weekend enjoying hikes and each other -- then emerge from their tents in beautiful dresses & suits/ties and walk to the other area for the wedding.

I decided if I were to get married again (to the Thriller, of course!),

I would make it a weekend long celebration with all the people I love...

The ramada, dressed up like a tent ;)

Later after the official introductions, traditions, toasts, etc.,

the firepit was stoked and everyone enjoyed

the warmth and some 'smores!

for them from the bride's mom.

This is the newest addition to the fun decor I've been collecting!

It was a statement for sure.

The bridal party greeted guests for the first hour of the reception in front of this...

and then the party began!

Amanda & Justin wanted a photobooth so bad!

A DIY one wouldn't do as soon as they were introduced

to one of my favorite vendors: AZ Celebrity DJ...

they take photos that are produced instantly and give one to guests to take and then scrapbook one for the b&g to take in a scrapbook at the end of the night...

it was an 'instant' hit!

The guest tables...

You've probably seen this aqua cloth before, but I still love it!

It's taffeta w/raised florals all over it!

Top if with a black candleabra and holy moley --

it's timeless!

I have so many gorgeous silk flowers that I try to get my brides to save a little on their budget and use what I have... this centerpiece adds some elegance ontop of a black damask, flocked teal tablecloth... wrapped in lace!

Did you notice the fun feathers?!

Oooo lala!

The third look is a harlequin runner.

I love the patterns in this reception!

You have to be careful with them so you don't create a circus...

I think we did a fabulous job bringing in all the pattern

and still staying within her color scheme and overall theme.

We got to use these aqua birdhouses again,

pinned w/a zebra flower and a 'blinger' in the middle.

We sat it on a blingy cakestand...

and added the old cameras for Justin.

He's a photo buff!

The middle of the tables and the center of our

lights & chinese lanterns served center stage for drinks.

I love to set up a reception this way because it keeps people moving.

There's not as much of a 'traffic jam' by the food when you move the drinks somewhere else.

It's beautiful!

It doesn't hurt to hang several chandeliers

at various lengths to add some drama, either!

Guests were 'treated' with all kinds of sweet love...

We made turquoise fleur de lis suckers in cotton candy, and blueberry flavors...

a throw-back to the when I was younger! ;)

We used to make these all the time!

Sometimes you do a candy station that matches the decor.

And sometimes you do one that is the b&g's favorite!

All of the candy selected are favorites of the happy couple.

I didn't say alot about their pictures...they are darling!

{and I love to use them everywhere!}

got married on a date that is AWESOME!

9-10-11

but...the weather wasn't so good!

We made the best of it...but didn't get many pictures of the decor {sadly!}.

It rained all weekend off and on, and although we rented a tent to hold it all in,

it wasn't enough to keep all the decor up.

We decorated madly until 6pm (through the bursts of wind),

just long enough for the bridal party to see how pretty it was, and then just after 7 when the party started, Mother Nature unleashed her fury and we quickly moved what we could.

Here's a sneak peek of the super cute candy station!

She chose to buy candy in her colors, which were gorgeous!

...and yummy!

Under the big tent was the guest seating. Food was under the patio.

We hung this beautiful chandelier from the center,

and still got to use the chinese lanterns...

it was stunning!

I was able to grab a shot of her super cute little cake!

She served cupcakes, but had a small cake made for the tradition of cutting it... she made these darling LOVE BIRDS after she saw them on etsy and saved herself quite a little change! I was proud of her for all the little touches she made to compliment the decor I brought!

And, although this one got a little rained on...

the B&G didn't seem to mind too much at all.

Proving that

DeAnn wanted manzanita branches dripping w/bling...

I found these stunning little trees dripping w/bling...

and added delicate white pom-poms!

It sat atop a pink linen w/a pink tulle skirt wrapped in a wide pink raised floral ribbon...

this table screams pretty!

The second look was this table...

metallic gold ribbon flowers on a sheer fabric over an ivory linen.

The centerpiece was various antique candlesticks...

some wrapped in ribbon and pinned w/antique brooches.

The third look was this table...it was gorgeous!

A gold criss-cross taffeta underlay,

topped w/a cream n' gold polka dot linen

wrapped in ruffled ivory lace...

The centerpiece was an amazing floral arrangements

including huge yummy peonies,

vintage-looking ribbon flowers,

english roses & pink feathers.

This darling little couple got married on what started out as a beautiful

sunny day...and then typical to Northern AZ... the afternoon rains came!

We wanted to have it outdoors, but just knew it wasn't going to work...

The rains left an hour before the party...

Jamie is very simplistic. That doesn't mean she's plain -

it just means she likes less stuff than me!

She asked me to help w/entry table & a backdrop for her receiving line, but was hoping for

less is more {honestly, I don't even know what that means!} - not too shabby/vintage.
I'll admit it was hard for me ;)

I probably normally wouldn't feature only the two small parts of the wedding I did, but I loved the layered frames hanging as her backdrop... and I have to show off her wedding pictures on the entry table. She's gorgeous!

I tried not to be 'too vintage-y'...

I don't know how possible that really is!

But, I adore these layered frames...

two old (k, yes! - those are for sure vintage) columns w/gorgeous flowers.

Quite honestly - I think they're lovely.

The whole thing was just lovely.

Her tables were simple - white underlays throughout w/a simple pale yellow or gray top and a tall glass vase w/calle lillies and sprigs of curly branches. I think it all went together nicely. And, let's face it, the party was at the Wright House in Mesa - you already start with a gorgeous space to begin with!

She served cake, smoothie bar and a candy station!

but the party is always about the dancing!

I LOVE THE BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE!

I've spent EVERY season glued to the TV watching every episode...

silently {and sometimes not!} hoping that love prevails!

My daughter & I suck the Thriller into watching it with us...

and sometimes even my 16yr old son {hee! hee! hee!}.

There seems to always have to be "that" guy or "that" girl in each one to keep us wanting more...

and this season {for the love!} it's Bentley.

Ok, seriously?

What's the matter with him?

I have a hard time putting my finger on his motivations, his intentions and why ANYONE would be, frankly, so MEAN. My son adores him. Says he's a champ. K, so let's ignore that - he's 16 - hormones are raging - and his 'game' compared to Bentely's 'game' aren't even in the same arena! Now mind you, I know what we're seeing is TV stuff...and nothing seems to appear as it is... but really?!

My 15yr old daughter just headed to UT and of course, there's someone who knows someone who knows someone that knows Bentley! {she's determined to take a pic with him - makes me laugh!} But, she hooked me up w/his ex-wife's etsy site -- holy cute girl! She's my kinda girl: darling from head to toe! So, let's feature her! {and I will secretly pray that what we're seeing on TV of this guy who let this super cute girl getaway is far from the truth!}

Fowkes Wedding May, 2011 part 1

Lindsay has two sisters and a brother.

She's the last of sisters to get married this year --

{they all got married w/i 8 months of each other!}

Her parents were sooo happy,

but it was bittersweet!

Her colors were gray & purple.

I loved the color combination!

She said add just a tiny bit of yellow...

I only used in the centerpieces and in the dinner plates.

This wedding was just pretty.

PRETTY.

The wedding was in the backyard of her uncle...

This is her entry.

She looked gorgeous!

Here she is under the antique arch w/family.

This is where she greeted guests...

We used AZ Celebrity DJ/Photobooth service.

They're one of my favorite vendors - their photobooth is awesome!

...they offer a great deal when you get both services.

I loved this reception because there was so many places to land. The guests were literally moving around: entry/guest signing; greeting b&g; stopping by the photobooth; yummy pasta bar; drink station and a screamin' dessert area where guests could pick a scrumptious cupcake and 'pimp' it out with wedding color'd sugar 'n sprinkles and crushed oreos.

Of course, there are two lines to the food...;)

Her pictures on either side were absolutely stunning!

We made pasta; caesar salad, garlic spread and bruschetta topping for the fresh baked bread, chicken alfredo sauce, marinara sauce w/sausage meatballs; grilled vegetables and steamed spinach as topping for the pasta. The evening was absolutely gorgeous -- AZ weather is hit or miss into May. We got lucky and loved the cool night!

Aren't the colors romantic - to die for?

The small side tables holding the plates, etc.,

were a pin-tucked gray taffeta.

The two candlesticks flanking the rustic frame sitting

on this linen makes me swoon!

It makes me so happy to throw in the purple and

yellow polka dot napkins and plates!

Unexpected - but a total package!

I used table lamps on either side just for some unexpected lighting.

Since I did her sister's wedding, we decided to hire out the

lighting in hopes to bring a whole different flavor to this party.

It was so worth the money they spent!

The additional lighting I brought hit the spot w/ambiance & sophisticated glamour.

These linens paired with the shabby canopy

sitting on top in the middle was adorable!

Again, pairing glamourous w/shabby-rustic

pretty much = fabulous!

No detail goes unnoticed. Everything was tent-carded!

Dessert table.

Because the main dishes were so extensive,

we made the dessert area as inviting!

This was definitely an elegant reception.

Adding that little element of whimsical fun is exactly the kind of contrast I love!

The purple, lush ruffles were gorgeous...

Another of my favorite vendors is:Shye Petersen

She made her cake...so pretty!

It sat perched atop a beautiful, blinged-out, layered garden stand.

With scrumptious cupcakes all around - no one could resist!

This is the little area on the table where

guests could decorate {PIMP} their cupcakes.

Purple crystal sugar, silver/gray sprinkles

and crushed oreos served as the toppings.

It's fun to give the guests something to do!

This table is wrapped in a gray fabric w/a raised floral pattern.

The centerpiece is a sexy, tall vase with large blooms of peonies

{notice a few of the English Roses tucked in there.}

This table look was a deep purple taffeta

sewn w/some criss-cross detail.

The centerpiece was a vibrant, silver candle/candlestick on a cake stand.

Every table had beautiful votives for even more mood lighting.

The last table doesn't show this linen justice!

It's a silver/gray taffeta...with specks of bling

that catch the light and dance off the table.

{no! this isn't the typical table-dancing that could go on at some parties! hee hee hee!}

This party was all about the lighting.

There was plenty of places

for your eyes to travel!

The centerpiece is actually a very ornate cupcake stand,

but I put votives on it for even more light!

Arizona is a wonderful place

to have a wedding!

I've known & loved Lindsay

for a really long time!

I'm so proud of her, and appreciate

that she let me be a part of her big day!

Cute Nora Stapley got married in the

Mesa LDS temple to the man of her dreams!

Darling Jane Wright was kind enough to host her reception...

it made my heart sing!

gerbera daisies, so we used them everywhere.

We filled the super cute apple green tubs w/ice

and darling helpers scooped the ice cream!

One of the 16+ toppings that tempted the guests!

I really, really, really adore this food table!

Lots of sass, mixed w/fun colors...

and just enough shabby bling to satisfy me!

Nora loved it!
